We're super excited to be sharing the Despacito's Stage with some of Burlington's finest local performers for an evening highlighting folk, folk/punk, and singer/songwriter talent.

Come join us and our friends Abbey BK, A Montreal Paul, Jason Baker, and Waves of Adrenaline as we bid a fond farewell to summer, and welcome the arrival of leaf peepin' season in Burlington's beautiful Old North End.

=== The Champlain Shoregasm ===

Hailed as "the best folk/punk band this side of Lake Champlain"; The Champlain Shoregasm are a quirky, high-energy, multi-generational, folk/punk duet based in Burlington, Vermont; the West Coast of New England.

Comprised of Maya Sun Robedee-Molino (Vocals/Rhythm Guitar), and Rory Goodale (Backup Vocals/Lead Guitar), the band is inspired by 60's folk music, and 80's punk rock, alternative, and shoegaze. The band's original music includes upbeat crowd favorites Trans Alien, As the World Comes Apart, and Queen Bee, as well as moody alt-ballads such as Flowers for Lorelai, and I Don't Think So.

Covers include original rearrangements of favorite artists such as Radio Head, Mazzy Star, The Violent Femmes, The Mountain Goats, Apes of The State, and Robyn Hitchcock.

The Champlain Shoregasm have played venues including Cafee Lena, The Underground, Whammy Bar, and Despacito, have been featured on WBKM.org's Sounds of Burlington and 105.9 FM's The Radiator and Ab.Stract Podcast. They are poised to bring their unique talents to the greater New England area and beyond.

A Montreal Paul writes songs that skirt the borderline between dreamy art and harsh reality. Although the first couple of albums are more on psychedelic side of alternative rock, more recent albums tend to be more on the acoustic side, although there has been some experimentation with dance beats.

Jason Baker is a singer-songwriter & folksinger from Vermont performing topical, original, folk-roots songs with a modern lyrical viewpoint, mixed with traditional folk, on guitar, banjo, ukulele & harmonica.

=== Waves of Adrenaline ===

Yeah, they’ve got grey hair. And they’ve got a sound, a playful spirit that’s infectious! With an acoustic blend of guitars and a bit of harmony, the Waves are acoustically upbeat, sometimes folky, but lyrically inspired and melodically intriguing.

Alana Shaw and Bridget Ahrens have been collaborating and performing together since 2008. In 2019, they were featured at the Waking Windows music festival in Winooski, and play regularly at Vermont venues ranging from Switchback Brewery in Burlington to Twiggs Gastropub in St. Albans, to El Toro in Morrisville. They’ve had a couple original songs get “big”: their song a about VT craft beer was featured in a PBS documentary, and another about Tropical Storm Irene was selected in a contest for best original song about that 2011 event. In 2021, they released their third full length recording, “Come Hell or High Water.” Bassist (and recording engineer) Loren Tindall became part of the band in early 2024.
